Fashion versus Function

The first thing that comes to mind when one thinks "Valentino" may not be "hippie," but during the Italian label's Spring 2015 runway show this month, a decidedly organic theme took shape. Natural elements like starfish and coral graced gowns, while a dusty pastel-tinged palette emerged elsewhere. A sophisticated eyelet gown toed the line between earthy and glam, and brought to mind the woven cutouts in a rainbow-strung dreamcatcher by Desh & Lily.
