Wear Our Rugs: Runway Pairings from Doris Leslie Blau

Looks like our popular Fashion versus Function series has some worthy rivals. We're loving these fresh-off-the-runway pairings from beloved rug purveyor Doris Leslie Blau, who gave us a sneak peek of their upcoming "Wear Our Rugs" campaign featuring looks from New York Fashion Week Spring 2014. Here, three of our favorites.

Look 1: Orange Crush
The breezy florals and punchy palette of Rebecca Minkoff's halter dress are echoed in the refined camel-and-orange hues of this late 19th-century Samarkand (Khotan) carpet

Look 2: Garden of Eden
The lush abstraction that makes up the digital print on this sheath dress by Emerson meets its match in this circa-1920 Arts and Crafts rug by English architect and designer C.F.A. Voysey.

Look 3: Clean Geometry
The Arne Jacobsen influences that Lela Rose pulled into her collection, including this slim and simple dress, are evoked in the modern lines of this circa-1930 art deco rug, which would look seamless in a contemporary setting.
