There's something so special about getting a beautifully wrapped package. Maybe it's because there's no doubt that serious thought went into the gift inside, if the exterior has been paid so much attention, or maybe it's because the wrapping is a gift in and of itself. Either way, you don't have to go overboard stocking up on expensive supplies and trimmings to give your presents that extra something. You only need two things: a roll of brown kraft paper and a little creative thinking.

A substantial roll of brown parcel paper will set you back as little as $1.50 and serves as the base for all of our packages. Embellishments—in our case, they range from glitter-dipped feathers to salvaged rope cord—can be found in nature, around your house, or at a local craft store. Read on to see what we used to create a lineup of complementary-yet-unique gift-wrapping styles that feel totally special—and to get your own creative juices flowing.
