A lavish spread goes hand in hand with this time of year—so make sure your celebratory setting stands out from the rest. Starting with IKEA’s Rekarne Table, we’ve created a joyous party scene that feels both elegant and accessible. MAKE IT WORK

1. Elevate your tablescape. Stack low-lying plates atop cardboard boxes wrapped in seasonal papers to vary the heights of your desserts and allow for easier reach.

2. Incorporate holiday hues with textiles and treats. A woven gold table runner sets a festive base for a sideboard of wintery confections.

3. Stick to timeless pieces. A footed glass fruit bowl, tiered dessert tray, and covered cake stand are neutral basics that add sculptural interest to your buffet—and that you’ll happily use year-round.

4. Create ambiance from above. Paper lanterns are easy to install and can quickly transform any space into an inviting, party-worthy room. (Bonus points for a glittery disco ball—or two!)
