"I didn't want a lot of stuff to distract your eye," says interior designer Ronald Bricke of his perfectly calibrated apartment on New York's Upper East Side. In his living room, animal-print textiles, Egyptian-style inlaid chairs, and a 1st-century Roman maenad figure share the space with glass vitrines that were originally designed for a Milanese department store.
