Advanced: Beaded Light Fixture
“Neutral wood beads, paired with a slim pop of color, bring an equal sense of simplicity and charm to a room,” writes Crowther. “Paint a wire basket, used to shape the chandelier, any shade to complement your existing décor. Feeling monochromatic? Paint the beads the same color as well.”

“Try hanging your chandelier over your table, just a touch lower than you would think, to add impact and interest to the room. The light diffuses beautifully through the long strands of wood beads,” she writes. “If you live in a rental and aren’t able to ceiling-mount this light, purchase an extra-long light cord. You can then screw a removable hook into the ceiling and drape the cord down to plug into an electrical socket.”
