Unconventional Headboard
“My first apartment wouldn’t feel like home without a unique headboard," shares Sarah Lewiecki. "In terms of design, it adds maturity to my aesthetic and helps make the placement of my bed feel more intentional — I’ve never been a fan of the ‘floating bed look.'"

"I also love the idea of repurposing a unique object or material for a practical use," she says. "Old doors, decorative table tops, metal wall art, and faded mirrors all make great unconventional headboards. My personal favorite is painted plywood because it’s super easy to hang on the wall.”
