When decorating your home, it's often a good idea to call on a friend for advice. It's even better when your friend is an incredible interior designer who can truly give your space the full treatment. Bonnie Smolins, a former sex editor, has called on her pal Regan Baker for multiple projects over the years. The latest? A renovation and design of her family home.
"The design philosophy was to keep aspects of the traditional architecture of this San Francisco home, and create a functional and clean design with touches of the client’s unique style," shares Baker. "For her house she wanted a modern, Parisian-inspired aesthetic, which we created by installing oversized molding and herringbone floors."
Peppered with colorful touches and beautiful art, the home finds an amazing balance between sleek minimalism and warm eclecticism. Want to take a full tour? Read ahead to learn the story behind this jaw-dropping design.
