This Designer's Restored Bay Area Home Is Eclecticism Done Right
Boasting the perfect blend of old world charm and contemporary cool, interior designer Katie Martinez' San Francisco home is an artfully restored, breath of fresh air. "I love that we were able to retain the character of the house by keeping much of the original architectural details," says the designer and mom-of-two. "The interiors are not fancy and formal but also not completely casual — I like that you can’t put your finger on it," she says. "The layout is mostly open in that the rooms flow into each other through wide doorways but each room is very much so its own entity."
