Knives
There are some things in a kitchen that you just don’t skimp on, and a good set of knives tops the list. Shoot for a decent, chef-recommended brand such as Henckels, Wusthof, or Global. And be sure to get a paring knife, which is a small, super-sharp blade for cutting and slicing. You’ll likely find yourself using it more than any other knife. Also, get your knives professionally sharpened every three months. You want to keep getting a return on your investment.
