For a Manhattan family that has been coming to the Long Island town of East Hampton for generations, a new home would prove a chance to start fresh, starting with the kitchen. Architect Erica Broberg took their necessities—family-friendliness, classic foundation pieces, and youthful energy—into consideration when conceptualizing the project, a renovation and addition to a 1980s shingle-style home.
