It’s no secret we’re big fans of Los Angeles-based duo Block Shop and the many inspired décor offerings (hello artwork, napkins, hangings, and more) they tout. Their vivid, modern approach to Indian block printing is a signature of the two sisters’ brand that extends to its growing collection of pieces.
And, for those who have been wanting to drape their beds in Block Shop’s pretty prints, the wait is now over. The two just released a line of king and throw quilts that are what your bedroom is missing. The collection comes with four different patterns and colorways — all inspired by a different landscape or part of the world — and starts at $250.
When asked about the inspiration, co-founder Lily Stockman tells Lonny: "We thought of our favorite night's sleep away from home, our favorite beds as house guests, the bedrooms we daydreamed about while stuck in Los Angeles rush hour traffic — a vagabond trailer in Marfa, an 18th-century professor's house in Providence, a beach shack in Baja, a spindle bed in a Wyeth-worthy cedar shake on the coast of Maine. We designed our first collection of king and throw sized kanthas to bring the spirit of those places — and those magical bedrooms — home." Okay, now we might have a really good reason to go back to bed?
