Lonny Field Trip: Kate Spade New York's New Flagship Store

Kate Spade New York’s just-opened, four-story Madison Avenue flagship is packed with KSNY bags, shoes and accessories, of course, but also tons of home décor inspiration. And, it’s the first of the brand’s shops to carry an extensive range of home goods. Here’s a peek inside.

The entryway give you a first taste of the bow motif, which started at a Lucite closure on a KSNY purse, made its way onto the brand’s newest fragrance, Live Colorfully, and is now a major décor theme throughout the shop—spotted everywhere from the floor tiles to the dressing room wallpaper.

KSNY President and COO, Deborah Lloyd, taking a moment to relax in the 4th floor lounge. During the opening party, we spotted her shopping the store—considering two bow blouses. “I know I’m going to buy one of them, “ she said.

The store is packed with colorful artwork and retro accents—framed vintage cha-cha records, ceramic owl figurines. Here, a collection of brass birdcages is displayed above KSNY's spring fashion offerings.

Stripes, on stripes, on stripes! We love the bold carpet paired with a smaller scale striped accent pillow. The striped dress fits nicely too!

A playful neon sign—declaring that "Uptown is the new downtown"—decorates the back wall of the ground floor.

On the second floor, shoes are glamorously displayed in gold cubes. Nearly every room of the store has a chic sitting area—this one, done in bright fuchsia with cheeky throw pillows.

A view from the second floor. The sputnik chandeliers were custom made for the store.
