Office Obsession: Mary Katrantzou Spring 2011

While we’d all love to be the most beautiful woman in the room, we definitely wouldn’t mind being the only woman in the room who is wearing a room. Thanks to designer Mary Katrantzou, that’s now possible. The young designer recently debuted a collection printed with interiors shot by Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton in the 1970s. The photographs, which came from old copies of World of Interiors and Architectural Digest, create a surreal effect when printed on such an unusual medium. We’re especially taken with the trompe l’oeil detailing; a trend we’ve discussed here and here. So what do you think, would you ever wear one?
