Drumroll please! We received so many great applications from readers asking west elm and Lonny editor in chief Michelle Adams to help them makeover a room. Although it wasn't easy, we narrowed down a winner—someone who inspired us with both their story and their space...
Linda Brite Clark and her family have a cozy home in North Carolina, but their living room needs to be rescued.
“With a 'college budget'—my husband went back to school for his bachelor's degree after serving in the Marine Corp for 20 years and I'm also working towards a degree—and two teenage sons, redecorating hasn't been a top priority,” Linda says. “Now that one of our sons just left the nest and the other is on his way to college this fall, we'd love the opportunity to start fresh."
"Our living room furniture is old, worn out and way too big for our space. The rug is permanently wrinkled and stained, the sofa has a hole in the back and two 'pleather' chairs that we purchased for our sons a few years back look out of place. This hodge-podge of pieces makes it hard to relax.”
Next, we'll help Linda and her family pick out furniture and accessories from west elm that fit her space, while Lonny editor in chief Michelle Adams will work on pulling it all together. Stay tuned for the results.
