Style Icon: Jodi Arnold

The mark of a true Style Icon is the ability to remain contemporary in a constantly changing world, and Brooklyn fashion designer Jodi Arnold is a perfect example. She launched her clothing line MINT in 1999 but has since refined her aesthetic and re-branded it as Jodi Arnold. As Arnold herself explains, “At the end of the day I just want to create clothes that have a soul…an authenticity.”

For her latest collection Arnold drew inspiration from the landscape paintings of artist Debra Freedman. Her clothing embraces the rich colors and fluid shapes found in nature. We especially love the unique prints and hand-embroidered details in Arnold's collection. She shared her inspiration boards with us and we thought you’d love to see the ideas that went into the collection. Lucky for us, Arnold's winter sample sale is taking place this week in Jodi Arnold's shop. Head to 56th University Place (at 10th st) between January 12th and January 16th to score 60-70% off! Don’t forget to check out her latest project, Shared Discovery, which profiles trends in art, culture, and fashion.
