Choose Saturated Wall Colors In Dark Spaces
Oftentimes, people look at a dark room and scream "LET'S PAINT IT WHITE TO BRIGHTEN IT UP!" This isn't necessarily the right move. Often, painting a dark space white can make it look shadowy, desolate, and depressing. Like the year I had while I was writing my book.

Choosing a dark, saturated color gives the wall dimension and brings an intentional romance to the room. It also avoids the dingy look that can come from painting a dimly lit room white.
