Are there young designers already embodying this outlook?
"Atelier Areti. They used to be students of mine when I taught at Central Saint Martins. I love their simplicity. It almost has a craft aesthetic, but pared down to a Bauhaus feel. They do mostly lighting and some furniture pieces as well; their pieces are almost architectural with an honest, yet specific point of view. They take design down to the bare minimum and try not to be loud, which is very difficult for a young designer to do."
