The 27th annual event makes its debut at Culver City’s 3LABS Studio (running April 26 to April 27) , with interior designer Jeffrey Alan Marks (above) and Lisa Bowles of NYC's ROARK Modern as co-chairs, along with 40-plus national and international presenters together under one roof, bringing wares that run the gamut of 20th Century design movements.
Marks tells us he’s staking out Danish modern chairs from LA’s Loft Thirteen—just one reason he’s signed on to his post: “As my clientele grow and find their own meaning of home, they want more simplistic, modern surroundings,” he says. “It’s a fresher, younger approach to interior design.”
The one-of-a-kind offerings go way beyond the usual Eames recliner suspects: this year’s highlights range from a Dieter Rams-designed last-edition Braun stereo system, to a pair of waxed modernist lamps (one of which is featured below) that we’ve already placed on the fantasy bedside tables in our minds.
The weekend kicks off Friday, April 25, with a starry opening party to benefit P.S. ARTS (a non-profit dedicated to improving children’s lives through arts education), complete with a VIP host committee including Lonny cover girl Rachel Bilson, Julie Bowen, Courtney Cox and more. Check out our early favorites from the sale below, and if you’re in LA, snap up your ticket here.
