Very rarely do we come across a guest house that we actually want to live in. But, when we saw this contemporary-cool guest residence in Sun Valley, Idaho, pack up and move in is precisely what we wanted to do.

Designed by the team at West Hollywood-based firm Studio Life/Style everything from the modern angled ceilings, to the white oak floors and organic shelving boasts a refreshingly modern aesthetic.

So much so, that getting your guests to eventually leave the three-bedroom abode wouldn't be easy. "This space innately has a wonderful sense of calm and serenity," explains Studio Life/Style founder, Shannon Wollack.

"The location is right on a river in Sun Valley, Idaho, and it really accentuates the feeling of comfort and peacefulness. For our interiors, we wanted to maintain this feeling by not only creating a cohesive and clean space — but allowing the natural beauty outside to shine through. We used natural white oak all throughout the home, in the flooring, cabinetry, ceiling, and wall paneling, as well as the furnishings, while earthy finishes add warmth and depth to the space."
