Espasso's Em Transito Exhibit in Miami
Head to the Shore Club in South Beach to trace the evolution of contemporary Brazilian furniture design
Sad you missed the stateside installment of Art Basel this year? Don't despair. Design lovers can still catch a glimpse of award-worthy works right in the annual show's backyard. Case in point: Em Trânsito, a pop-up exhibit dedicated to the Brazilian masters of minimalist furniture design that's currently on display at the Shore Club in South Beach. A collaboration with the New York-based gallery Espasso to highlight the hotel's impending redesign by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, the show features unseen gems by the likes of Oscar Niemeyer and Sergio Rodrigues, as well as new pieces made by contemporary talents (we're crazy about Claudia Moreira Salles's oak-and-concrete Concreto bench, above). The show is running through January 4, 2015—don't let this one pass you by!
