Here's a scenario: It's the weekend before Halloween and you want to throw a dinner party. You went apple picking last weekend and have the perfect butternut squash soup recipe picked out; you've stocked up on hard cider and think you've figured out how to make the world's best pumpkin spice bars. But when it comes to setting the table this wonderful feast will rest upon, the question must be asked: Tabletop pumpkin decor—is it a do, or a don't?
You may think it's too literal or cheesy, but we think that done the right way—as seen here, for example—pumpkins can be a light-hearted, nostalgic touch for the seasonal table (or use them for an added dash of rusticity if you're eschewing flowers for the night).
