Spring Cleaning Task #30: Wash Grocery Bags
Kudos for trying to keep Mother Nature in good health. Here’s one way to do the same at home. Throw those reusable grocery bags in the wash every two weeks. Experts say they can carry a host of harmful bacteria, especially if you’ve used them to transport things like meat. Use hot water and detergent to clean them and store them in a cool, dry place like a pantry. Bacteria can spread more quickly in hot places, like the inside of a car.
