Spring Cleaning Task #24: Dust Ceiling Fans
Even if you aren't tall enough to see the tops of your ceiling fan, there's no doubt dust is building up on the blades. Give your ceiling fan a dusting as often as possible to help keep those dust bunnies from flying around the room. But before you start, lay out a drop cloth or oversized towel to catch anything that doesn't make it onto your duster.

One pro trick to try: Use a pillowcase to clean fan blades and a dry paintbrush for intricate areas of the light fixture. Spraying the fan blades with a mixture of one part liquid fabric softener and four parts water will help keep dust from accumulating until your next deep clean.
