Spring Cleaning Task #4: Empty Your Toaster Crumb Tray
Where there is a toaster, there will be crumbs, even if you can’t see them. What you also may not see are the army of ants and other pests on the hunt for food once you open up your windows again come spring. Prevention is your best defense in keeping them away.

Empty the crumb tray in the back of your toaster and give it a rinse with warm soapy water. The exterior of all of your small appliances should be wiped down more regularly to prevent the buildup of splatters and that greasy film from cooking.
