Spring Cleaning Task #10: Wash Lamp Shades
Like many fabric surfaces, lamp shades can be dust magnets. How you clean them all depends on what they’re made of. In most cases, a microfiber cloth will get the job done, but you can also try a sticky-tape lint roller or a vacuum with an upholstery attachment.

If you’re certain your shade is made of fabric (and it can use a deeper clean), you can actually wash it. Fill a bathtub with water and a few drops of liquid soap and swish it around gently, wiping with a cloth from top to bottom. Refill the tub with clean water to rinse and then let the shade dry completely before mounting it back on your lamp.
