The Fabulous Life of Madeline Weinrib's Dogs
There's nothing like sleeping puppies and beautiful textiles to cure the Monday blues.
Do you love pretty textiles and adorable dogs? Then you're in the right place. A few months back we delved into the fabulous adventures of designer Nate Turner's handsome lab, Nacho, on the beaches of Malibu. Now we're back with another installment of that-dog's-life-is-more-glamorous-than-mine, this time featuring the gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniels of textile designer Madeline Weinrib. The pattern-loving talent's Instagram is overflowing with her worldly designs (she essentially started the ikat and batik trends), but it's her seriously cute four-legged sidekicks that are the real stars of the feed. Whether perched on jacquards or napping on suzanis, the super-posh Daphne and Gemma prove that life is too short to rest your furry head on boring fabrics.
The ladies, seen here on a daybed of colorful pillows designed by their human counterpart, know a thing or two about glamorous lounging.
A velvet-covered 19th-century French armchair is the perfect place for the itty bitty Gemma to catch some z's.
A midcentury Papa Bear chair by Danish designer Hans Wegner gets a global makeover with the help of Weinrib's brown ikat fabric—bringing opposing ends of the design world together for one serious snoozing spot.
