The Penny Loafers You Need Right Now
The prepster shape gets a style upgrade thanks to Norwegian brand HAiK.
Lonny cover shoots are often a hotbed of great style inspiration. Bring together editorial fashion stylists, top-notch photographers, and the caliber of creatives it takes to pull off a chic celebrity home tour, and you generally walk away with an insidery style tip or two. I may have immediately purchased a suede motorcycle jacket after spending a day chez Kelly Wearstler, or fell in love with cozy brand Ace & Jig after July/August 2013 cover star Lake Bell's adorable skirt moment. On the March 2015 cover shoot, it was a pair of shoes worn by prop stylist Joni Noe that caught my eye—and captured my heart.
A collaboration between LA-based brand HAiK and the original creator of the penny loafer, Aurlandskoen, the shoes sport the classic preppy shape but are updated in graphic colors with cheeky, geometric cutouts. An artful take on a timeless style, they make having holes in your shoes a good thing.
