We all know the saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Well when water damage destroyed a family's home in San Francisco, the owners decided to take the opportunity to give their space the reno it deserved. Thanks to the amazing skills of interior designer Erin Roberts, the house now serves up a stylish punch.

"This young family of three (now four!) in Noe Valley had a flood in their downstairs master bedroom due to rain overflow and decided to take the opportunity to finally renovate," explains Roberts. "We started off with blue grey walls and dark grey floors, so our first goal was to brighten the space with some soft white paint and select new flooring."

"They had always dreamed of having that classic white oak floor look and after comparing options for redoing the upstairs flooring as well we decided to go for it," she says. "It transformed the room and changed everything!"

Along with the renovations, Roberts also helped curate gorgeous interiors that perfectly toe the line between minimalism and a warm, colorful retreat. Want to see the breathtaking results? Read ahead to take a full tour.
