While we aren't ones to knock out a pattern completely, we have an issue with plaid used in particular ways. Case in point: This living area sofa. In a lighter blue shade, the upholstery feels more suited towards a flannel shirt than a cozy seating arrangement. We're also not so into the plaid mixed with country-cabin look. We would rather see the rest of the decor paired with a cream, cozy sofa to bring some lightness into the darker room.
