Tour George And Amal Clooney's English Country Home
We waited with bated breath to finally sneak a peek inside the domestic life of one of the world's most buzzed about couples. George and Amal Clooney lead a notoriously private life, together with their three-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, the family reside comfortably away from prying eyes in their 10 million dollar manor in the British countryside.
After tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy, back in September 2014 — the Clooneys exchanged vows in a 16th-century palazzo-turned-hotel named the Aman Canal Grande, with a star-studded guest list that included the likes of Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt — the celebrity couple have maintained a relatively low-profile — by Hollywood standards, at least.
Shortly after moving in, the Clooneys gave their already sprawling British estate a well-earned facelift, installing their own private cinema, a brand new pool house, and a grand terrace fit for entertaining. The surrounding land is incredibly lush and green — as one would expect in the country — while the home itself is an aristocratic marvel befitting of Hollywood royalty, wrapped in vines and surrounded by impeccable English landscaping.
While privacy is undoubtedly paramount for the busy couple, living on the expansive Berkshire estate is not without its challenges. Back in 2016, the property suffered significant flood damage, as the river Thames spilled over its banks following weeks of relentless rainfall and strong winds. In February 2020, the property was hit a second time, submerging at least one third of the manicured grounds in water and destroying the tennis court and veranda.
Inside the couple's summer home, pristine wood floors, marble finishes, and elegant interiors make the palatial space feel revived and fresh. After a thorough and comprehensive walk-through, we can confirm there's nothing stuffy about the Clooney residence. Continue scrolling for the full tour of this jaw-dropping property and grounds.
