Natural Finishes
“Furniture designers of all kinds have responded to the consumer’s desire to utilize materials that feel real and like they came from nature rather than a factory,” notes Corbin. “Unfinished woods, unlacquered metals, and concrete, to name a few, have a warmth and authenticity than is rich and welcoming.”

“In addition, natural materials patina over time, leaving behind a record of the past, like the rings on a tree,” he adds. “Perfect finishes have their place too, of course. It’s all about the mix.”
