2013 Trends We Won't Miss In the New Year

Here at Lonny, we've been privy to a lot of images over the last year: living rooms that wowed us, bedrooms that floored us, bathrooms that slayed us. We can't tell you how many times we've gasped over drool-worthy interiors. But after a while, we began to notice a few items that, at first, seemed innocuous enough (a chair here, a plant there)—that is until they were everywhere we turned. Here are some trends that caught our eye—then quickly made us look away—in 2013.

1. Dome chairs
We first thought these were unusual statement pieces, but when they began appearing in every living room, hotel lobby, and department store fitting room we visited, we finally said, "No more!"

2. Beni Ourain rugs
True, these rooms are gorgeous. But if we see one more of these we might swear off rugs altogether.

3. Fiddle-leaf Fig trees
These are prefered by interior designers for their graphic shape, but surely they can't be the only greenery that works in a space. Right?

What design trends would you like to see disappear in 2014?
