"I have been saying this for a long time — the Midwest spawns a lot of the great art out there," says Cina. "I know tons of people who leave for CA or NY and they blow up and then claim those cities as their residence. But I would say a large portion of them are from the Midwest. There is an experience here that you can't get anywhere else."

"I do very little work for local clients," he notes. "Most of my work has been from the East and West Coasts and overseas. Most people don't know where I am from and I enjoy that."

"Making a decision to stay here has had its ups and downs, but in the end, I am free to do what I want without having too many restrictions," says the artist. "They are there for sure, but I couldn't do what I am doing anywhere else."
