“The entrance to your house is a place to show your friends and family what they’re in for, so I like to set the stakes high and go with a big statement,” says Humphrey.

“Most of us would get sick of a really bold paint color in our living room or bedroom but in a small entry you don’t have to worry about that since you mostly just pass through," he says. "'Arsenic' by Farrow & Ball is a favorite color to use — it’s an acidy mint green that will freak out the neighbors when they peek past your front door.”
